Experts and scholars from industry, government, and academia were invited to participate. Through systematic courses and experience sharing, the workshop aimed to enhance local teams\u2019 understanding and practical application of the Cittaslow philosophy, laying a solid foundation for future development efforts.<\/p><p>The workshop program covered various topics, including the core concepts of Cittaslow, implementation strategies, international exchange experiences, and local revitalization practices. Combined with Majia Township\u2019s local culture and development characteristics, the courses encouraged participants to explore diverse approaches to implementing the Cittaslow philosophy and strengthening the overall development framework.<\/p><p>In addition to enthusiastic participation from local residents of Majia, the workshop also attracted representatives from other townships to observe and exchange experiences. Participants gained a deeper understanding of the Cittaslow philosophy and practical implementation methods, reflecting the growing attention and importance placed on Cittaslow development in Taiwan, while also promoting cross-regional exchange and learning.<\/p><p>Nanhua University stated that the university has long been committed to promoting the international Cittaslow philosophy and has continuously engaged in local development through its University Social Responsibility (USR) projects. By assisting communities in establishing development models that reflect local characteristics, the university hopes to provide practical and feasible experiences through the integration of industry, government, and academic resources, thereby strengthening local implementation capacity.<\/p><p>The workshop invited several experts from industry, government, and academia with extensive practical experience to serve as speakers. These included Chihshang Township Mayor Lin Jian-Hong, whose township has obtained international Cittaslow certification; Yu-Pei Chang, International Coordinator of the Cittaslow Taiwan Alliance; Gong-Lian Hsu, Indigenous Liaison of the Slow Food Asia Pacific Network; and Nanhua University Vice President Yeh Yueh-Chiao and Associate Vice President for International Affairs Kuo Yu-Te. Together, they shared practical experiences in promoting Cittaslow initiatives and international exchange. In addition, professionals who have long been dedicated to local development in Majia were invited to participate in the courses, combining local perspectives with academic expertise to enhance both the depth and practicality of the program.<\/p><p>The Majia Township Office noted that the empowerment workshop helped build local consensus and strengthen future development directions. Moving forward, the township will continue integrating local resources and gradually incorporate the Cittaslow philosophy into daily life and industrial development, highlighting the unique value of Indigenous culture and sustainable development.<\/p><p>Nanhua University further stated that it will continue assisting communities in promoting the Cittaslow philosophy through educational empowerment and international exchange.
